A 1st birthday is special, every birthday is special! So why not celebrate in style and really let your little one enjoy their moment. It's a messy session but soooo much fun with amazing results, plus I do most of the cleaning anyway

An hour session gives me enough time to do a few shots without the cake and then have your little one in full flow of cake smash fun! This gives a fun and varied full gallery at the end. I do not provide the cake to keep down your costs and also do to intolerances & allergies. But I'm happy to match up colours to suit with balloons and decorations.

I can decorate to suit your desires for your little ones 1st, 2nd or 3rd birthday - just let me know what you'd like!

FAQs

Do I have to do a cake?
How to prepare?

Choosing a time of day that is best for your little one always helps, possibly after a nap or meal is often good and not too late in the day. I will often offer 9/10am sessions as this can usually be a good time.

How long does it last?

Cake Smash - 1 Hour

Family & Cake Smash - 1-1.5 Hours

Plus Splash, add 15 minutes.

Is the cake provided?

No, please bring your own cake to ensure your child’s preferences and any food allergies or intolerances are met. Cake Box provide fairly reasonably priced dairy and egg free cakes, there are branches locally.

What if my child is shy?

Every child is different but it's fairly common for a 1 or 2 year old to be shy and unsure to start. There will always be a little warm-up time for them to feel more comfortable in the session. Mum or Dad can also be off to the side of the set to help them feel more confident in the back drop.

Can I bring props or decorations?

Absolutely! Personal props and decorations are welcome to make the photos extra special but a set-up of your specification is included with the session. Once you've booked in just let me know your preferred colours.

Not at all, for whatever reason you can either do the session without the cake or with a substitute like fruits. Just let me know ahead of time.
